Saint Eleutherius was the bishop of Illyricum and was martyred for his Christian faith. During his ministry, he faced persecutions from Emperor Hadrian. He was arrested and subjected to terrible tortures but remained steadfast in his faith. After many trials, he was beheaded and martyred. His mother, Anthia, was also martyred as she attempted to bury his body. He is considered the patron saint of pregnant women and those facing difficult situations due to the strength and courage he demonstrated during his tortures.
